ETI corporate annual reporting tools
Document Details
Type: Membership Resources
Subject: ETI member performance
Access: Members only
Once you have been a member for a full year, you must produce annual reports to an agreed standard in content and format and submit them to ETI detailing your progress in ethical trade and your activities relating to your commitments as an ETI member. In addition, some new members choose to submit reports voluntarily.
With the help of independent consultants, ETI analyses reports to produce an aggregated Annual Report Analysis that summarises progress made by all reporting members and provides case studies of interesting and/or good practice.
The purpose of corporate annual reporting is to: provide a review of progress for each member and for the membership as a whole
- reinforce members' commitment to transparency and public accountability in this area
- provide a basis for ETI to assess continuing membership eligibility
- promote good practice among members and non-members.
As a member company you should also benefit by being able to:
- assess your progress over time
- compare your overall progress with that of other ETI corporate members
- find out about any innovative and/or interesting activities.
The deadline for completed reports is 28 February 2010
- members (who reported before) can either submit a new report (using the blank reports available below) or can overwrite last year's report. If they are overwriting, please ensure that information is updated where relevant.
- the report comes in two sections (Management and Performance). Both must be completed.
- a larger format Performance sheet for members with very large numbers of suppliers is available from Ergon
- please refer to the Guidelines when completing the report
- for site data, members can either use the ETI Performance spreadsheet OR can supply their site data in their own format so long as this format can be analysed and contains the same data points as the ETI workbook format.
- once reports have been submitted, members will receive a draft feedback letter from Ergon/ETI during late March/early April. They will have two weeks to respond to this. Members are encouraged to provide comments by email or to discuss issues by phone. They can also arrange a meeting.
- the final feedback letter will be sent to them in May.
- please contact ETI or Ergon with any queries.
